I am a Senior Loan Officer with Shelter Mortgage (formerly Fairfield Mortgage). I began my career as a mortgage originator in 1988 and have helped over 3,000 families secure financing for their new home. Since 1988, I have seen interest rates as high as 13%, and participated in a industry that has evolved from overly strict guidelines to one that now has the ability to view borrowers on a more individualized basis. My focus is to offer the best loan available for that borrower’s needs. I am a graduate of Xinnix Academy of Mortgage Excellence. I feel fortunate that my "job" is one I continue to enjoy.
While still in high school, I began working as an assistant in my mother’s residential construction and development company. My daily activities and interaction with buyers gave me a first hand knowledge of the emotional involvement people experience when purchasing a home. A career in real estate both home building and the mortgage industry followed.
Born in Syracuse, N Y, I am the oldest of 9 children, a graduate of LeMoyne College and have my Masters degree from Syracuse University. My two daughters and I moved to Atlanta in 1986 in search of a warmer climate and the employment opportunities offered by Atlanta. It was our grand adventure – no real plans, no job, just a lot of optimism and faith in the future. Today, Atlanta is still home for all of my growing family including three grandchildren.
When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family here in Atlanta as well as all those in Syracuse. I am an avid tennis fan, follow the Atlanta Braves and love vintage cars. My favorite charities include Children’s Miracle Network and Autism Speaks.
